Regular Season Round 9: Omega-Tauras - Neptunas-Akv. 72-76

The biggest surprise of round 9 in NKL was guestNeptunas-Akv. 's (6-3) road victory over Omega-Tauras (#7) 76-72 on Thursday evening. The best player for the winners was Klaidas Metrikis (204-2000) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Marius Runkauskas (186-1986, agency: BIG) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Simonas Serapinas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ignas Juskevicius (200-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and center Robertas Keliacius (210-1997) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas-Akv. moved-up to third place, which they share with Zalgiris II and Vilkaviskis. Newly promoted Omega-Tauras dropped to the eighth position with four games lost.
