BOV League D1 top team -Starlites (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Valletta (1-7) in Naxxar 134-89 . Starlites dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Valletta 's 32. They outrebounded Valletta 57-24 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Starlites looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Valletta 's players. The winners were led by American guard Musa Jallow (196-2000, college: Charlotte) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 20 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and Australian forward Travis Fee (192-1992) supported him with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Starlites players scored in double figures. Even 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American Myles Roper (-2000) did not help to save the game for Valletta . His fellow American import forward Albert Varcallo added 25 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Starlites have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Loser Valletta stay at the bottom place with seven games lost.
