Regular Season Round 17: Gloria - Comrat H. 92-91

The most exciting game of round 17 in the Superleague took place in Chisinau. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th rankedComrat H. (8-9) to sixth ranked Gloria (9-8) 92-91 on Saturday evening. Gloria shot 63.9 percent from the field. Strangely Comrat H. outrebounded Gloria 51-38 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mihail Procopciuc saved the victory by scoring 31 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Alexandr Volcovschii contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-6 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Gloria players scored in double figures. Gloria's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Dmitri Chiurcciu answered with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds and Ivan Duloglu added 23 points in the effort for Comrat H.Gloria moved-up to fifth place, which they share with UTM. Comrat H. at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Pervanciuc.
