Everything went according to plan in Ostrow Wielkopolski where tenth rankedGTK (4-5) beat bottom-ranked Stal (2-7) 97-85 on Sunday. GTK made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game, while Stal only scored eleven points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was Slovakian point guard Mario Ihring (193-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 22 points and 9 assists. Kuba Pisla (199-2004) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Paxson Wojcik (196-2000, college: UNC) who recorded 16 points and Belgian power forward Tim Lambrecht (210-1998) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four GTK and five Stal players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GTK moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Slask and Spojnia. Loser Stal stay at the bottom position with seven games lost.
