Regular Season Round 20: GTK - Zastal 82-70

There was a small surprise when fifteenth rankedGTK (7-13) defeated 12th ranked Zastal (7-13) in Gliwice 82-70 on Friday. The winners were led by Latvian Martins Laksa (200-1990) who scored that evening 21 points and center Lukasz Frackiewicz (205-1996, agency: AB Agency) supported him with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Four GTK players scored in double figures. GTK's coach Pawel Turkiewicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals by American guard Darius Perry (188-1999, college: UCF) did not help to save the game for Zastal . Serbian center Veljko Brkic (206-1995) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. GTK moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with defeated Zastal. Zastal lost fourth consecutive game.
