Regular Season Round 28: Gdansk - Kruszwica 100-95

Everything went according to plan when sixth rankedGdansk (19-9) defeated at home 10th ranked Kruszwica (13-15) 100-95 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gdansk outrebounded Kruszwica 50-31 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gdansk looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Kruszwica 's players. The winners were led by swingman Damian Janiak (195-1989) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists and Sebastian Walda (196-2000) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four Gdansk players scored in double figures. Gdansk's coach Tomasz Chwialkowski used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 32 points and 6 steals by point guard Antoni Gawarecki (180-2006) did not help to save the game for Kruszwica . Point guard Michal Samolak (183-2002) added 22 points and 5 assists for lost side. Gdansk moved-up to fourth place, which they share with UMK Torun and Tarn.Gory. Kruszwica at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with 15 games lost. They share it with SKM ZG.
