Not a big story in a game in Walbrzych where 6th rankedGornik (14-10) was defeated by first ranked Anwil (19-5) 75-71 on Sunday. Anwil outrebounded Gornik 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Anwil looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Michal Michalak (196-1993) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. International Luke Petrasek (206-1995, college: Columbia) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Toddrick Gotcher (192-1993, college: Texas Tech) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Dariusz Wyka (209-1991) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Anwil maintains first position with 19-5 record. Newly promoted Gornik keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Czarni.
