Everything went according to plan when eighth rankedSokol (3-1) defeated bottom-ranked Miners (0-4) in Katowice 94-82 on Saturday. Lancut had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Filip Struski (200-1994) supported him with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Even 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists by Michal Kierlewicz did not help to save the game for Katowice . Forward Kacper Mlynarski (202-1992) added 16 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for lost side. Five Lancut and four Katowice players scored in double figures. Miners' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lancut moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Miners still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Bialystok. Lancut will meet at home league's second-placed Starogard Gd. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Katowice will play against Leszno (#15) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
