Everything went according to plan whenPoznan beat on the road Sosnowiec 84-78 . Poznan dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Sosnowiec 's 22. Sosnowiec was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Jessika Carter (196-1999, college: MSU) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian point guard Jovana Popovic (173-1990) supported her with 19 points. Four Poznan players scored in double figures. Even 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American guard Sydney Taylor (175-2001, college: Louisville) did not help to save the game for Sosnowiec . Croatian point guard Matea Tadic (176-1999) added 7 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Sosnowiec's coach Piotr Gliniak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
