Regular Season Round 2: GTK - Zastal 62-86

ButGTK was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Zielona Gora 86-62 on Monday night. Zastal dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to GTK 's 28. They outrebounded GTK 39-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zastal looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international point guard Andrzej Mazurczak (188-1994, college: Parkside) notched 11 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and American forward Patrick Cartier (203-2000, college: Colorado St.) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Zastal players scored in double figures. Zastal's coach Arkadiusz Miloszewski felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 20 points by American guard Andy Cleaves II (188-1996, college: CS Stanislaus, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) did not help to save the game for GTK . His fellow American import guard Jarred Godfrey (196-2000, college: PFW) added 9 points and 6 assists for the hosts.
