There was a surprise result in Zielona Gora where twelfth rankedZastal (2-2) defeated higher ranked MKS (2-2) 82-70 on Sunday. Zastal dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to MKS 's 26. They outrebounded MKS 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Zastal looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Andrzej Mazurczak (188-1994, college: Parkside) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American-Belizean power forward Phil Fayne II (206-1997, college: Illinois St.) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Zastal players scored in double figures. At the losing side Spanish Marc Garcia (197-1996, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 26 points and American guard Dale Bonner (188-2000, college: Ohio St.) scored 16 points and 7 assists. Zastal moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated MKS .
