Not a big story in a game when 14th rankedStart (2-6) lost to seventh ranked WKS Slask (5-3) in Lublin 91-98 on Sunday. Slask made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by Jakub Niziol who scored that evening 24 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Jamaican-Canadian guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) supported him with 12 points and 9 assists. Even 23 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) by American point guard Elijah Hawkins (180-2002, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Start . His fellow American import forward Quincy Ford (203-1993, college: Northeastern) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Four Slask and five Start players scored in double figures. Start's coach Wojciech Kaminski let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Slask moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Anwil and Gornik. Start lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with six games lost. They share it with GTK.
