Regular Season Round 12: Tychy - Stargard 65-79

There was a minor upset in Tychy where 5th rankedGKS (7-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Spojnia (7-4) 79-65 on Saturday. Stargard outrebounded Tychy 49-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Wojciech Czerlonko (201-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Latvian center Ilja Gromovs (210-1994) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Spojnia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-1989) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-1997) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. GKS's coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Spojnia have a solid three-game winning streak. Stargard moved-up to fifth place. Loser GKS dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Polonia W-wa and Pelplin.
