Regular Season Round 7: Bochnia - Gdynia 91-122

No shocking result in a game when third rankedGdynia (5-2) crushed on the road 7th ranked Bochnia (3-4) 122-91 on Saturday. Gdynia made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. Gdynia had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Gdynia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Slovakian guard Barbora Wrzesinski (178-1994) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Stephanie Jones (188-1998, college: Maryland) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Gdynia's coach Martins Zibarts felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Martyna Walczak (190-2000) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Britney Jones (174-1987, college: UAB) added 21 points respectively for Bochnia in the defeat. Four Gdynia and five Bochnia players scored in double figures. Gdynia have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Gorzow Wlkp. and Wroclaw. Bochnia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Torun and Bydgoszcz.
