Lublin (8-1) recorded its first loss in Gorzow Wielkopolski on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Gorzow Wlkp. (7-2) 91-75 . It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Lublin. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Gorzow Wlkp. shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was Australian guard Stephanie Reid (168-1996, college: Buffalo) who scored 27 points and 7 assists. The former international Klaudia Gertchen (182-1996, agency: SPORTFORUM Agency) chipped in 18 points. Four Gorzow Wlkp. players scored in double figures. Gorzow Wlkp.'s coach Dariusz Maciejewski used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Destiny Slocum (170-1997, college: Arkansas) who recorded 19 points and 9 assists and center Klaudia Wnorowska (185-2003) added 14 points respectively. Gorzow Wlkp. maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Lublin. Lublin at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost.
