Important game to mention about took place in Walbrzych. Third rankedGornik (7-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Legionisci (6-4) 81-79 on Friday evening. Gornik outrebounded Legia 42-31 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Legia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian forward Tauras Jogela (203-1993, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish Marc Garcia (197-1996, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Gornik's coach Andrzej Adamek allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Jayvon Graves (191-1998, college: Buffalo) replied with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Race Thompson (203-1999, college: Indiana) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Legia. Four Legia players scored in double figures. Gornik have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-3 record behind leader Arka, which they share with Slask and King. Legia lost fourth consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Anwil and Dziki.
