Everything could happen in Zielona Gora at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedZastal and 11th ranked Stal had identical 4-5 record. This time Zastal used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ostrow Wielkopolski 98-84 on Saturday night. Zastal made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Jakub Szumert scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-1993, college: Marist) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side American guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Latvian power forward Mareks Mejeris (207-1991) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stal's coach Andrzej Urban tested nineteen players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zastal maintains ninth position with 5-5 record. Loser Stal dropped to the tenth place with six games lost. They share the position with MKS and Czarni.
