Very important is a road loss of second rankedTrefl (9-4) against eleventh ranked Stal (7-7) on Thursday night. Visiting Trefl was defeated by Stal in a tough game in Ostrow Wielkopolski 80-89 . Stal forced 19 Trefl turnovers. Strangely Trefl outrebounded Stal 44-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) notched 24 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and Latvian power forward Mareks Mejeris (207-1991) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by Estonian guard Kasper Suurorg (200-2002, college: SFC) did not help to save the game for Trefl . Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kacinas (204-1993, college: S.Carolina, agency: BIG) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Four Stal and five Trefl players scored in double figures. Trefl's coach Mikko Larkas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stal moved-up to tenth place. Loser Trefl dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with King.
