There was a minor upset in Wloclawek where their close opponentGornik (9-6) was defeated by sixth ranked Anwil (8-7) 97-90 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Icelandic point guard Elvar Fridriksson (182-1994, college: Barry) who scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American swingman Eric Lockett (196-1995, college: NC State) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Lockett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ike Smith (193-1997, college: Georgia South) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Dariusz Wyka (209-1991) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Anwil went down to eighth position due to points difference, which they share with Zastal. Loser Gornik dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Legia and Dziki.
