The most exciting game of round 17 in the OBL took place in Ostrow Wielkopolski. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-rankedArka (12-5) to tenth ranked Stal (9-8) 84-82 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Arka. 25 personal fouls committed by Arka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Trenton Gibson (193-2000, college: Indiana St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import guard Quan Jackson (193-1997, college: UAB) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Jakub Garbacz (197-1994) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Luke Barrett (198-2001, college: SMC) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Arka. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stal moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Arka at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with King.
