There was an upset when higher rankedTrefl 2 (14-8) lost to ninth ranked Kutno BNG (12-9) in Sopot 72-76 on Wednesday. Kutno BNG shot 28 for 39 from the free-throw line, while Trefl 2 only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Trefl 2 46-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. Guard Hubert Lewandowski (192-1997) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Mikolaj Wojciechowski (198-2004) supported him with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Four Kutno BNG players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by guard Alex Pietrzak (177-2010) did not help to save the game for Trefl 2 . Guard Nikodem Grek (183-2008) added 15 points for lost side. Trefl 2's coach Marcin Stefanski tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kutno BNG have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Elblag. Loser Trefl 2 keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Klodzko and Gorzow.
