There was no surprise when 7th rankedSosnowiec (12-12) was outleveled by first ranked Polonia (22-1) in Bytom 92-72 on Saturday. Bytom outrebounded Sosnowiec 48-27 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bytom looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The winners were led by Wojciech Leszczynski (190-1992) who scored that evening 26 points and 6 assists and point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-1994) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Polonia's coach Mariusz Bacik used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 11 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Christian Guess (199-1998, college: PVAMU) did not help to save the game for Sosnowiec . Guard Wojciech Nojszewski (190-2003) added 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Polonia have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Bytom maintains first position with 22-1 record, which they share with Zgorzelec. Loser Sosnowiec keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Pruszkow and Wisla Krakow.
