Regular Season Round 24: Tychy - Leszno 96-88

There was no surprise in Tychy where 11th rankedLeszno (10-13) was defeated by sixth ranked GKS (14-9) 96-88 on Saturday. Tychy looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Leszno 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Tomasz Snieg (190-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Konrad Dawdo (198-1999) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five GKS players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Wendell Mitchell (190-1997, college: Texas A&M) with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 9 assists and swingman Szymon Ryzek (190-1997) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. GKS have a solid three-game winning streak. Tychy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lancut and Pelplin. Leszno lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Tychy will meet Polonia W-wa (#8) in the next round. Leszno will play against Lancut and hope to secure a win.
