Regular Season Round 21: Zastal - King 74-75

The most exciting game of round 21 in the OBL took place in Zielona Gora. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th rankedZastal (11-10) to first ranked Wilki Morskie (15-6) 75-74 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. King shot 27 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Zastal only scored nine points from the stripe. 27 personal fouls committed by Zastal helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International swingman Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz (196-1995) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 assists for the winners and American guard Anthony Roberts (195-2001, college: PFW) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Wilki Morskie's coach Maciej Majcherek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international Jakub Szumert (205-2005) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Andrzej Mazurczak (188-1994, college: Parkside) scored 13 points. Four Zastal players scored in double figures. King maintains first place with 15-6 record. Zastal at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Anwil and Stal.
