There was no surprise in Ostrow Wielkopolski where 13th rankedStart (7-14) was defeated by tenth ranked Stal (11-10) 93-78 on Sunday. Stal dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Start 's 40. They outrebounded Start 42-26 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Stal looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Latvian power forward Mareks Mejeris (207-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stal moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Anwil and Zastal. Loser Start keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Czarni.
