Rather predictable result in Warszawa where fourth rankedLegia (15-7) beat 7th ranked Zastal (11-11) 84-66 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Legia made 9 blocks. American guard DJ Brewton (193-2000, college: CS Fullerton) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Andrzej Pluta (190-2000) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Chavaughn Lewis (195-1993, college: Marist) responded with 15 points and his fellow American import forward Patrick Cartier (203-2000, college: Colorado St.) scored 14 points. Four Zastal players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Legia have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Zastal lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Anwil and MKS.
