Everything went according to plan when third rankedLodz (18-7) defeated on the road 13th ranked Rzeszow (10-16) 89-82 on Sunday. Lodz made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. The winners were led by the former international guard Marcel Ponitka (194-1997, agency: Alti Sport) who scored that evening 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American point guard Jaquan Carlos (183-2002, college: Syracuse) supported him with 18 points and 8 assists. Even 27 points and 8 rebounds by forward Kacper Mlynarski (202-1992) did not help to save the game for Rzeszow . American center CliRon Hornbeak (206-2003, college: Kent St., agency: JCK Sports Group) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Five Lodz and four Rzeszow players scored in double figures. Lodz moved-up to second place. Loser Rzeszow keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost.
