An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th rankedArka in a game in Walbrzych versus Gornik (#8) 103-97 . Gornik shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Lovell Cabbil (188-1997, college: Liberty) who led the winners and scored 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import guard Avery Anderson III (190-2000, college: TCU) accounted for 23 points and 11 assists for the winning side. Cabbil is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-1989) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and French point guard Milan Barbitch (197-2001) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Arka in the defeat. Four Gornik and five Arka players scored in double figures. Gornik (13-10) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Stal and Dziki. Loser Arka keeps the fifth position with nine games lost.
