Top rankedEnea Astoria (24-5) recorded its fifth loss on the court of fourteenth ranked Rzeszow on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Rzeszow 88-75 . Rzeszow outrebounded Bydgoszcz 42-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. Rzeszow looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center CliRon Hornbeak (206-2003, college: Kent St., agency: JCK Sports Group) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Naturalized Argentinian swingman Santiago Vaulet (194-1998) chipped in 26 points. Rzeszow's coach Marek Zapalowski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Karol Gruszecki (198-1989, college: UT Arlington) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Adam Kemp (208-1990, college: Marist) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Bydgoszcz players scored in double figures. Rzeszow (12-17) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Opole and Leszno. Bydgoszcz at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
