Very predictable result when fifth rankedTrefl (16-10) won against 14th ranked Start (8-18) in Sopot 103-97 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Trefl forced 19 Start turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. American guard Paul Scruggs (190-1998, college: Xavier) notched 23 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-1995) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Even 25 points and 8 rebounds by American swingman Jordan Wright (198-2000, college: LSU) did not help to save the game for Start . His fellow American import guard Liam OReilly (188-1996, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) added 24 points and 6 assists for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Start's coach Wojciech Kaminski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trefl maintains fifth position with 16-10 record. Start lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Czarni.
