There was an upset in Torun where higher rankedArka (18-12) was defeated by twelfth ranked Twarde Pierniki (12-18) 95-86 on Wednesday. Arriva P.Cukier looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-1987) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian Aleksandar Langovic (205-2001) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Twarde Pierniki's coach Srdjan Subotic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Jaroslaw Zyskowski (203-1992) who recorded 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and French point guard Milan Barbitch (197-2001) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively.
