Povoa can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Coimbra, where they defeated Academica (0-6) 73-62 on Sunday. Povoa forced 25 Academica turnovers. American forward Nakye Sanders (203-97, college: Towson) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian-Canadian guard Diego Kapelan (190-87, college: McNeese St., agency: BIG) chipped in 23 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh McNair (200, college: Green Bay) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Stefan Djukic (202-89) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds.
