U-Banca TR held off CSU Sibiu to gain 1-0 lead in the series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-15. But CSU Sibiu won third quarter 25-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. U-Banca TR made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. CSU Sibiu was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American Kyndall Dykes (192-87, college: New Orleans) stepped up and scored 17 points and 4 assists for the winners and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (181-88, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 9 points and 8 assists. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. U-Banca TR's coach Marcel Tenter allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side international point guard Octavian Calota (186-84) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and American guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds.
