Regular Season Round 7: Steaua CSM - UBT Cluj Napoca 84-95

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Steaua CSM (5-1) in Bucuresti on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by UBT Cluj Napoca (5-1) 95-84. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Steaua CSM. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by UBT Cluj Napoca. American guard Cameron Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: Inception Sports) answered with 22 points and 9 assists and Serbian forward Nikola Malesevic (202-89, college: Rhode Island, agency: BeoExcell) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Steaua CSM. UBT Cluj Napoca have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Steaua CSM. UBT Cluj Napoca is looking forward to face Craiova (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Steaua CSM's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bucuresti to the arena CS Dinamo Bucuresti.
