There was no surprise in Nitra where bottom-rankedNEXTGEN (0-28) was crushed by fifth ranked Blue Wings (17-12) 85-64 on Saturday. Blue Wings shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while NEXTGEN only scored six points from the stripe. Blue Wings forced 19 NEXTGEN turnovers. American guard Kobe Langley (185-2000, college: UNCG) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 steals for the winners and his fellow American import forward Miryne Thomas (203-1999, college: Kent St., agency: Players Group) chipped in 13 points. Samuel Solcansky (198-2004) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Bruno Randuska (191-2008) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four NEXTGEN players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Blue Wings . They moved-up to fourth place. NEXTGEN lost their twenty eighth game in a row. They still close the standings.
