Regular Season Round 8: Slovan - Prievidza 75-84

The most important game in the last round took place in Bratislava between second rankedSlovan (5-3) and fourth ranked Prievidza (5-2) on Saturday night. Slovan was defeated by Prievidza in a tough game at home 75-84 . It was a key game for the second position in the league. The best player for the winners was American guard Noah Reynolds (190-2002, college: TCU) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Davontrey Thomas (196-2001, college: New Haven) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Tomas Pavelka (217-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian Shamiel Stevenson (198-1998, college: Nebraska, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Prievidza have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Blue Wings. Slovan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Prievidza is looking forward to face league's leader Levice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slovan will play against Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
