The game in Komarno supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Iskra U23 (9-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Komarno B (3-7). Iskra U23 smashed Komarno B 99-78 on Sunday. They outrebounded Komarno B 44-26 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Iskra U23 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Power forward David Harabin (207-2002) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Julius Matusek (200-2005) supported him with 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 28 points and 7 rebounds by Martin Pospisil (195-2006) did not help to save the game for Komarno B. Forward Martin Janech (192-2008) added 14 points for the hosts. Five Iskra U23 and four Komarno B players scored in double figures. Iskra U23 maintains second position with 9-2 record having just two point less than leader Inter SB. Komarno B lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Iskra U23 will meet at home Ziar/Hronom U23 (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Komarno B will play against Blue Wings 2 in Nitra and hope to secure a win.
