Second Stage Round 3: Klokani - B.Bystrica 61-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with B.Bystrica's (7-13) road victory over Klokani (4-17) 72-61 on Saturday. B.Bystrica had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Martina Maliarova (185-2005) who scored 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Erika Holikova (184-2002) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four B.Bystrica players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Michaela Safarikova (172-2009) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Shaniya Jones (176-1999, college: JCSU) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Klokani's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. B.Bystrica will meet Trencin (#10) on the road in the next round. Klokani will play against Kosice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
