There was no surprise when 9th ranked B.Bystrica (2-12) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Komarno B (4-8) 78-74 on Sunday. Strangely B.Bystrica outrebounded Komarno B 47-34 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Daniel Chaban (184-2002) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Mate Balogh (204-2001, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) who added 24 points during the contest. At the losing side center Matej Kotorik (202-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Branislav Obert (183-1998) scored 17 points. Komarno B maintains sixth position with 4-8 record. B.Bystrica lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Komarno B will meet higher ranked Zilina (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. B.Bystrica will play against Ziar/Hronom U23 (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
