Regular Season Round 20: Crnomelj - Sezana 88-90

The most exciting game of round 20 in the 2SKL took place in Crnomelj. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Crnomelj (9-10) to fifth ranked Sezana (12-8) 90-88 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Crnomelj. Crnomelj was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 28-24 charge of Sezana, which allowed them to win the game. Sezana's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Nejc Butala (190-93) replied with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and guard Matic Lozar (183-92) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Crnomelj. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sezana have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Triglav. Crnomelj at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Sezana is looking forward to face Plama Pur (#6) in Ilirska Bistrica in the next round. Crnomelj will play at home against Triglav and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
