Not a big story in a game when 17th rankedBasquet Girona (2-8) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Valencia (7-2) 98-78 on Saturday. Valencia looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Armenian-American guard Chris Jones (188-1993, college: Angelo St.) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 assists for the winners. American-Ivorian power forward Matt Costello (208-1993, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. French forward William Howard (203-1993) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian center Juan Fernandez (210-2002) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia moved-up to second place, which they share with Tenerife. Girona lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost.
