Everything could happen in San Sebastian at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth rankedGipuzkoa and 12th ranked Cantabria had identical 5-8 record. This time Gipuzkoa used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Torrelavega 83-60 on Sunday night. Canadian-Croatian power forward Josip Vrankic (206-1998, college: Santa Clara, agency: Players Group) notched 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Argentinian-Italian guard Mateo Diaz (186-2002) supported him with 22 points. Four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-1992) did not help to save the game for Cantabria . Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (192-1991) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gipuzkoa (6-8) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Castello and Cartagena. Cantabria at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Menorca.
