There was no surprise when 11th rankedGipuzkoa (6-10) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Burgos T. (8-8) 88-79 on Friday. Burgos T. made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Lance Jones (185-2000, college: Purdue) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Jaume Lobo (180-1997) who added 17 points during the contest. At the losing side American guard Xavier Johnson (185-2000, college: SIU) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and power forward Javier Nicolau (208-1997, college: UMC) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Burgos T. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Obradoiro. Loser Gipuzkoa dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Menorca.
