Regular Season Round 13: Granollers - Mollet 72-80

Very expected game when 8th ranked Granollers (6-7) was defeated at home by second ranked Mollet (10-3) 80-72 on Saturday. Swingman Albert Real (189-1997) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 assists for the winners and forward Ignasi Belver (197-1994) chipped in 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side Carles Homs (196-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and guard Santiago Serrataco (187-1990) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Granollers players scored in double figures. Granollers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mollet. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Barca 2 and Estudiantes B. Loser Granollers dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams. Mollet will meet league's second-placed Barca 2 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Granollers will play against Helios (#14) in Zaragoza and hope to secure a win.
