Regular Season Round 14: Universitat Vic - Es Castell 72-76

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Vic (7-7) lost at home to eighth ranked Es Castell (6-7) 76-72 on Saturday. Guard Carlos Gil (185-1993) notched 26 points to lead the effort and Senegalese center Sauleymane Ndoye (202-2002) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by center Adrian Sanchez (204-2001) did not help to save the game for Vic. Forward David Vidal (194-1997) added 15 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Es Castell moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Moraleja. Vic at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Es Castell will meet at home Joventut 2 (#13) in the next round where they are favorite. Vic will play against El Olivar (#12) in Zaragoza and hope to secure a win.
