Fourth defeat of league's leaderUnicaja (14-4) against seventeenth ranked Basquet Girona (6-12) 91-85 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Unicaja. Girona made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Unicaja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Aljami Durham (193-1998, college: Providence) who led his team to a victory with 22 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Argentinian Maximo Fjellerup (198-1997) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American-Montenegrin point guard Kendrick Perry (183-1992, college: YSU) replied with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Kameron Taylor (198-1994, college: Seton Hill) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Unicaja. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Girona moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Bilbao and Lleida. Unicaja at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Real Madrid who have the same record.
