Regular Season Round 18: IDK Euskotren - Gran Canaria 67-52

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked IDK Euskotren (6-11) defeated 9th ranked Gran Canaria (9-9) in San Sebastian 67-52 on Saturday. Dutch point guard Laura Cornelius (173-1996, college: Miami, FL) notched 11 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and South Sudanese-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-1992, college: FSU) supported her with 12 points. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Argentinian point guard Melisa Gretter (166-1993) did not help to save the game for Gran Canaria. American-Nigerian center Nneka Ezeigbo (188-1998, college: RMU) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. IDK Euskotren maintains eleventh position with 6-11 record. Loser Gran Canaria dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Ferrol and Gernika. IDK Euskotren will meet higher ranked Ferrol (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gran Canaria will play against Jairis and hope to secure a win.
