Regular Season Round 19: Zaragoza - Celta Zorka 62-65

There was an upset when 4th placed Zaragoza (12-7) was edged at home by fourteenth ranked Celta Zorka (6-13) 65-62 on Friday. Croatian point guard Matea Tadic (176-1999) fired 16 points for the winners. Canadian center Quinn Urbaniak-Dornstauder (193-1995, college: Arizona St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. International center Nerea Hermosa (196-2001, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and Swedish Ellen Nystrom (185-1993, college: Colorado St.) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Four Zaragoza players scored in double figures. Celta Zorka moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Ensino. Loser Zaragoza keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Celta Zorka will meet at home higher ranked Gernika (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zaragoza will play against Ensino (#13) in Lugo and hope to secure a win.
