There was a surprise result in Seu D'urgell where fourteenth rankedCadi La Seu (6-13) smashed higher ranked Ferrol (10-10) 73-49 on Thursday. Cadi La Seu forced 25 Ferrol turnovers and outrebounded them 36-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Rwandan center Bella Murekatete (192-2000, college: WSU) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Julia Soler (178-2001) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Cadi La Seu players scored in double figures. Irish forward Claire Melia (190-1999, college: St.Joseph's) responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Czech guard Julie Pospisilova (183-1999, college: Wisconsin) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cadi La Seu moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with IDK Euskotren. Newly promoted Ferrol keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Estudiantes and Gernika.
