There was no surprise when 5th rankedCanarias (9-7) was edged by second ranked Getafe (13-4) in Santa Cruz 67-65 on Sunday. Jorge Tejera (200-1992) nailed 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Jorge Parra (192-1998) accounted for 21 points and 6 assists. Diego Fernandez (199-2005) came up with 17 points and forward David Acosta (203-2004) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Canarias in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Getafe keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Canarias lost their fourth game in a row. Canarias at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Quintanar and Es Castell.
